Kept, Inc.
About the company
Kept, Inc. is an emerging Health and SaaS startup in the U.S., streamlining the off-boarding process for brokers, employers, and employees by providing seamless COBRA compliance and healthcare coverage solutions.
Overview
In 2023, after completing a Seed round of funding and a full rebrand, Kept, Inc. was preparing to launch their MVP. Topher Reynoso, Kept's CEO, brought me on board to redesign and develop their marketing website.
Objective
The goal was to craft a compelling, scalable website that showcased their new brand, effectively captured leads, and announced the launch of their MVP app.

Asking the right questions
Understanding business objectives, target audiences, and user needs is essential to the success of any web design project. To gain valuable insights, I collaborated closely with the client from the outset, addressing key questions to inform the design process.

Reviewing brand and design assets
After analyzing the insights gathered in our meetings, I thoroughly reviewed Kept's brand guidelines to ensure that my designs were aligned with and reinforced and strengthened their visual identity.
Defining
The problem
After gaining a deeper understanding of the business and project goals, and reviewing Kept's brand guidelines, it became evident that certain design elements were lacking. These included accessibility issues, suboptimal imagery and graphics, typography inconsistencies, and poor execution of color theory—all of which prevented the visual identity from fully embodying its vision as a modern healthcare solution.
Defining
The solution
First impressions are crucial. To effectively introduce Kept's new brand to the world, enhanced UI and web design practices were implemented to elevate the visual identity throughout the website, resulting in improved storytelling, accessibility, and overall user experience.
Web Design
Using existing mock ups as wireframes
At the start of the design phase, the client provided me with 'high-fidelity wireframes,' which were early attempts to incorporate Kept's new branding into the planned content and pages for the launch.
Web Design
Before and after
Building on the high-fidelity wireframes, I refined the visual designs, focusing on a clean, modern aesthetic that aligned with Kept's brand guidelines, improved web accessibility compliance, and elevated the overall visual appeal.
Web Design
High-fidelity designs
I then created high-fidelity mockups for all pages in Figma, delivering cohesive, impactful, and accessible designs that holistically brought their brand to life.
Web Design
Responsive for all screen sizes
While designing Kept's website responsive design was at the forefront of my mind. By designing for all screen sizes, I aimed to boost engagement, ensure accessibility for a broader audience, and enhance SEO performance, keeping the brand competitive in the digital landscape.
Webflow Development
Bringing designs to life with Webflow
Once the high-fidelity designs were approved, I transitioned to Webflow to build a structurally robust and fully functional website, incorporating CMS functionality for insights and seamless support integrations that the client could manage.
