Brand strategy, visual identity & brand development
I led a strategic brand refresh that clarified Stronghold’s positioning and evolved its visual identity into a more cohesive, scalable system across web, marketing, and product.
The challenge
When you’re a fast-growing Fintech, clarity and trust aren’t “nice-to-haves” — they’re the currency.
Stronghold was evolving quickly, expanding into new markets and audiences, and needed a brand + website presence that could keep up. The existing experience wasn’t consistently communicating credibility, differentiation, or momentum — especially for new visitors landing cold from search, partnerships, or investor intros.
The challenge was to preserve the recognition Stronghold had already built while creating a more polished, flexible, and scalable brand that could speak to a broader fintech audience and support the company’s next stage of growth.
What I did
I led the evolution of Stronghold’s brand from strategy through digital execution, creating a stronger foundation across messaging, identity, web, and broader brand touchpoints.
Discovery
I worked closely with the CEO and Operations Manager to understand Stronghold’s business goals, audience, challenges, mission, vision, and values.

Alongside stakeholder discovery, I conducted a design audit and reviewed competitor and category approaches to identify gaps in Stronghold’s existing brand and digital experience. These insights informed the strategic and visual direction for the work that followed.

Brand identity
I strengthened Stronghold’s brand foundation by refining its mission, vision, values, positioning, and overall direction, then translating that strategy into a more cohesive and scalable visual identity.
Refining messaging — Stronghold had a clear sense of its ambition and values, but its messaging had not yet been shaped into a focused, consistent brand narrative. I refined the mission, vision, values, and core messaging to create a clearer foundation for how the company communicated its purpose, positioning, and direction.

Evolving the visual identity — Building on that strategic foundation, I evolved Stronghold’s visual identity through a clearer color hierarchy, refined typography, a simplified logo system, more human-centered imagery, and a modern graphic language. These elements were brought together into brand guidelines to improve consistency across web, product, and marketing.

Website design + Webflow development
I redesigned and developed Stronghold’s website to reflect the refreshed brand identity, creating more than 20 pages in Webflow.

The site was built as a scalable system using reusable components, responsive patterns, flexible page structures, interactions, and CMS collections for areas including the blog, newsroom, case studies, and support center.

This created a more polished digital experience while giving the internal team a stronger foundation for publishing and expanding the site over time. I also created a public-facing brand kit, giving partners easy access to approved brand assets and guidelines.

Brand development
I extended the system beyond the website into presentations, campaigns, social content, product UI, and other customer-facing touchpoints, helping create a more consistent experience across the broader Stronghold ecosystem.

The solution
The result was a unified brand and digital system that connected Stronghold’s strategy, visual identity, website, and customer touchpoints under one cohesive direction.
Rather than treating the brand refresh and website redesign as separate initiatives, I built them as an interconnected system — from positioning and visual language through to responsive layouts, reusable Webflow components, content structures, and digital interactions.
This gave Stronghold both a stronger external brand presence and a more flexible internal system that could evolve alongside the business.
The outcome
Stronghold emerged with a more cohesive, recognizable, and mature brand experience that better reflected its evolution as a fintech company.
The redesigned website became the primary digital expression of the refreshed identity, improving consistency across customer touchpoints while giving the internal team a scalable Webflow foundation for launching new pages, campaigns, and content.
The work helped establish a stronger connection between Stronghold’s strategy, visual identity, website, and broader digital experience during a period of significant company growth. Stronghold was later recognized on the Forbes Fintech 50.
